Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore (REBB) is a professional trade association for real estate agents, brokers and affiliates.
Founded in 1948, the Real Estate Brokers of Baltimore is one of the oldest minority trade associations in America. REBB was formed out of a need to secure the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed, or color.
Philathea Carter, George Carroll, Daniel Spaulding and Linwood Koger, Jr. were the founders of the Baltimore Chapter who led with wisdom, passion, fortitude, foresight and vision. These visionaries realized, “America needed Realtists” and brought the “Realtist” philosophy into action.
Governed by the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, REBB is Baltimore’s local chapter instructs its members through education programs and initiatives that not only enhance their professional careers but will positively impact the communities in which they serve. The organization works with real estate professionals to exchange ideas, best practices and lessons learned in an environment where creativity flourishes in the workplace and in the marketplace.
Our membership base consists of:
- Mortgage lenders
- Title companies
- Home inspectors
- Insurance companies
- And other real estate professionals
Since the local chapter’s conception, REBB has participated in various meaningful challenges and legislative improvements to establish fair housing for all. While we don’t endorse any elected official, we work with them to uphold our convictions about democracy in housing which involve changes in legislation that affect taxes and communities that we serve.
REBB is passionate about seeing “democracy in housing” as a reality.
